On my last day in town, I was up early, put wash in, and got on the bike before 6:45 AM ET. The sun was just cresting the water but the humidity was already heading up, with temps to top out in the low 90's.
On my way 'round, I waited at one of the Intracoastal Waterway bridges that was up, allowing boats to pass (only large ones require bridge openings). There were a few REAL cyclists there, as we head across to the peninsula. I said good morning and then joked "I wish I had a real bike down here". They laughed and said "hey, you will get good training on that bike!". I agreed and quipped "better to train at noon today", which they replied "well, even better at 3PM!".
It has been a good and productive trip, but it comes to a close. I leave later this evening but will probably make this period of time in my plans going forward: mostly moderate temperatures, nice riding.
This pic of the Ocean over Deerfield Beach was taken in the morning a week or so ago.....There are showers in the distance.
I leave you with what I was singing to myself on the Coast Highway this morning...Keep on riding!!
